Simplicity is done.

I completed my Simplicity quilt top last night! So that makes 1 completed UFO for the CGQC for the month of August.  YEAH!  It was a very exciting moment...because I realized that it means it will be the first quilt that I quilt on Bessie! (you haven't met her yet...)  It makes me scared/nervous/excited thinking about it! I know, I know...I'm just going to have to take a deep breath and just jump, no dipping my big toe into the pool to see if the water is cold - just jump in and at the same time yell 'CANNON BALL!'.

Do remember that? When you were a kid, at the pool on a hot sunny day and that feeling you get right before you jump in because you know the water will be cold.  Sorry, I digress - anyhoo, we still have 5 more days...

  1. (clap...clap...clap) Congrats on a great quilt top! Simplicity is one of my favorite fabric lines because it has such a "shabby-chic" feel to it.

Now go and get your feet wet!

  2. Oh Michelle it is gorgeous! You can do it...remember your goal on your profile? You want to quilt your own quilts as well as other people, so go for it...achieve that goal. Can't wait to see it all quilted.

  3. Yay! Doing my happy dance for you! Good job Michelle! May I suggest doing a bsby sized practice panel first on your 'Bessie' before tackling your Simplicity top? Just an idea...
