1. Share your favorite quilting or sewing tip.
A pizza box...when working on a project, you can store all of your cut pieces in a (clean) pizza box. I'm using one now.

2. Share your best tip for managing time more effectively (what works best for you)!
Ok, the preseason football season has started & I have realized that I can quilt/sew at the same time I watch the game. During the game you can iron/press, pin and do any quiet quilting function. When a commercial comes on, I sew on the machine. I tried it the other night and it's going to work out nicely. I'm just lucky the floor plan of the kitchen, dining and living room area is open because the sewing machine is on our table.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Being a former Army brat, I've been lucky to see different parts of the US, Korea and Japan. So if I had my pick, I would love to go to Alaska.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's answers, especially # 1...I could use all the help I can get! Kelly, thanks for the great questions!

  2. Love your quilting tip! It struck me as very funny as that is how we functioned before I got my sewing room! I tend to do lots of hand sewing once TV season resumes in the fall, so I often keep binding to be done for just that reason.

  4. The pizza/project box is a great idea! I don't like football, dh doesn't watch football (except the Super Bowl at someone else's house) and oh yeah, we don't get tv stations! But sounds like your plan for working while watching is going to be productive.

  5. The pizza box is a great idea, I've used it for many years now. I often stitch bindings or labels by hand or even do some embroidery in front of the TV, it keeps me from eating :^)
    Enjoyed reading your answers Michelle!

Michelle, could you email me please? Thanks!

  8. The pizza box is a great idea! How do you ladies get yours? Do you ask for them at your local pizza joint or do you buy them someplace?

  9. Hi Esther, I was going to email you but it's not listed in your profile...so, just to let you know you can get them at your local pizza joint - I had to pay .55 cents for mine. Not bad for a storage box.
