CGQC January Project

Like I was telling Kelly & Joan, I'm having a problem with left over UFO's.  I think I have about 6 (no rolling of the eyes -please) UFO's and would like to get them completed.  So, I am only making one commitment this month.  It's to complete the Simplicity quilt.  It was one of the first quilts I quilted on Bessie. There are several spots that need to be fixed - tension problems and it needs binding.  If I happen to work on other items, so be it.

  1. Sometimes one goal is all we need! I had one goal the past few days and would not allow myself to move on to other 'fun' projects until that was done. It worked!

  2. I love that you are only committing to 1 project. Keep doing 1 UFO at a time and they will be finished before you know it!

by the way, I LOVE the MAKE LIFE fabric in your header :)

  4. Your plan makes sense to me. It's a great feeling to finish something that has been languishing in the UFO pile! Please post a photo when you are done!

  6. I am following your footsteps in terms of not putting too much on my plate at once. The feeling of getting a project completely done is so wonderful!

  9. I have so many UFO's and projects waiting in my stash that I let my plate overflow - but I do love a challenge even if it's one I make for myself!

  11. Good for you finishing off a UFO! You do have a small number of UFOs (compared to some of us, ask me how I know, LOL) so you could get them all done quickly and then have NONE! WOW! what a lovely thought that it..... Good luck!

  12. Good for you! I have also decided not to stress myself out over my hobby, but to finish those UFO's that are bothering me- one per month- that should only take about 3-4 years!

  15. I wish I had only 6.....I'm afraid to even count how many kits and tops I have waiting for me to visit with them again. They keep calling my name but I think I have tuned them out (kind of like tuning out my kids LOL)...Good luck getting your project done this month.I know you can do it!

  16. I wish that I only had six too! I have far too many ufo's along with all those quilt kits and projects that I got the fabrics for but have yet to get started. I'm hoping that having a reorganized space gets me going once I get it done. That's a really pretty picture of you!
