I am not able to join the party. That being said, I figure since you took the time to stop by...how about a little giveaway? Just leave me a comment & tell me if you could make a block (star blocks are my favorite)...what block would you make? I will draw a winner on the 18th.
Hope y'all are enjoying the hop, for a full list of participants you can go here to Jane's blog.
ps...I won't be able to respond to your comment but I will make sure your name goes in the hat.
I love star blocks too! I'd like to make a whole quilt of Ohio star blocks, since I live in Ohio. Maybe someday! Thanks for the giveaway! :0)
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to have a giveaway without showing off a block! It's been fun seeing all the amazing talent out there.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you can't make the party, but how sweet of you to host a give away. I love star blocks too. The Friendship star block with a white center for signatures makes a great quilt - I have this 'tagged' for my grandson's first year of school - teacher's gift.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle. I hope all is well with you! I am collecting star blocks in BSA right now, so I would probably make a star block of my own to add to the collection. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI would say right now I am hooked on the string blocks. I have been using up tons of scraps that I have saved. Thanks for showing all the pictures of your t-shirt quilts. I also make t-shirt quilts and everyone loves them. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI want to make THIS block:

Ribbon Star block.
You are so sweet~ but you have that cute little block in your previous post. Love it on its little hanger! I love stars too and always look at those first when trying to decide what block to make. ;-) Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are not able to join the party. I, too, love star blocks but I've been wanting to make a Dresden block. Thanks for the sweet giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am in a nine patch mood right now, thanks for the giveaway chance and sorry your block plan didn't work out.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you can't participate.. hope all is well. My favorite block is the Pinwheel - it is simple but fun!d
ReplyDeleteI love stars, too, but my all-time favorite is the log cabin--I never tire of it.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the HOP but only to watch...busy busy busy! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteYou are a sweetie for having a giveaway! Yet another hop I am not participating in also, but I've loved seeing the blocks - I have several bookmarked. And then another hop caught my eye today - Lori Holt and a Granny Square hop! But, no, I will control myself and work on what I have on the table only! BUT, if I won this little pack, I would use it for Granny Squares. I made one the other day and really liked it ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. Lately I've been making lots of snowball blocks - work great with charm packs.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say the log cabin block is my favorite, because there are so many different variations. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like the log cabin block and enjoying making it. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make one of those spider web quilts using strings or the granny squares that are so popular now. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeletei just made my first star block thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteSometimes life just interferes with our plans, doesn't it? I'm sorry you weren't able to make a block but you have lots of nice ones to see and choose from if you want to use some of them from the hop, and isn't that a good thing. :) I love star blocks but right now I'm kind of wanting to try some paper piecing so I would look for a pattern for that...maybe the New York Beauty. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI am currently really having fun making a bunch of scrappy star blocks. Sorry you couldn't join in making a block for the hop but glad I stopped by anyway. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like the Ohio Star. :)
ReplyDeleteStars all the way!
ReplyDeleteI think any kind of star would be a great idea. Especially when it's made into a little table topper for the patriotic holidays. I hope you are enjoying your summer. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love wonky stars! They are so friendly and cheerful looking to me.
ReplyDeleteMy go-to block is a friendship star. It's easy and I like what it signifies. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like the log cabin style!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you aren't able to post for this wonderful blog hop, and thank you for the opportunity to win this lovely charm pack. I also love star blocks, and would probably use it to make just that!
ReplyDeleteI would have made a modern block with a twist of whimsy. Plenty of indigo, cranberry and whites with random splashes of gold.

Thanks for the giveaway! I like star blocks too - there is a RWB star block - can't think of the name or the blog at the moment - but when put together, made a small star at each intersection. Really pretty! I would love to make that :)
ReplyDeleteBeth
Some day I am going to attempt a Mariner's Star, that's what I would like to make.
ReplyDeleteYou were missed but how very kind of you to have a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteawww, no block?? boo hoo. but the giveaway makes up for it :-) a charm pack makes nice disappearing nine patch blocks. I've also made a quilt where I sewed a solid triangle to opposite corners of charm squares, then rotated every other block with sashing in between and it was a cute lap quilt
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to miss the R/W/B hop but it is very kind of you to have a give away. I'm a charm pack lover. I like star blocks too and I've always loved churn dash blocks. Thanks

ReplyDeleteSorry you couldn't make the hop but I think your RW&B table topper qualifies for the theme. I think that whirligigs would be great.
ReplyDeletemy favorite is the star blocks, I used them alot in my charity quilts... The WOCS members cross stitch squares and that becomes the center of the stars...
ReplyDeletetoo bad you couldn't join in - that half square triangle mini quilt in your previous post just fits the red, white, and blue hop :)
