Schnibbles Times Two Contest - Quilt #2

McGuffey...the big one.  This is my second entry for the Schnibbles Times Two Contest being sponsored by Kelly over at Cotton Charm Quilts.  Talk about getting it done just in time.  I did an overall meandering stitch all over the quilt using a red variegated thread.  Except on the inner border (white), I changed the thread to a winter white.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Scnibbles Times Two Contest

I've finished my first Schnibbles! Very exciting!  This is the second time I used my sewing machine to quilt a quilt.  I did the 'line' thing & am happy with how it turned out.  I wanted the center of the star to be the focal point.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

A fast update...

I just finished my first Schnibbles - Plan C!  But I'm not going to post a full frontal shot (hee hee!) until I can have good light - know what I mean?  I hope to do a proper post tomorrow...it is waaaay past my bedtime and on top of that it's a school night.  Okay, got to go.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Log-A-Load for Kids 2010

It's done!  I made the Scrap Bag Baby quilt from the Moda Bake Shop.  I just love this recipe!  This is what I will be donating for the silent auction:

And just to let you know, Log-A-Load for Kids raises money for the Arkansas Children's Hospital. LAL is made up of people from the forestry/timber/logging industry. I have been in this group for 11 years now and it is very dear to my heart.  The hospital will see any child from any state, for more information you can go here - Arkansas Children's Hospital.

ps...I think Snowball likes it.
